Whitehead / Popokatea (Mohoua albicilla) (Pachycephalidae - Whitehead, Yellowhead, Brown Creeper)

The Whitehead is a small songbird that is endemic to the centre and south of the North Island of New Zealand plus some offshore islands (e.g. Kapiti, Tirttiri Martangi). It usually is found in small parties in the canopy hunting for small insects and the like. It is one of three species in the endemic New Zealand bird family the Pachycephalidae.
