The Fernbird is an elusive inhabitant of reed beds and similar vegetation and is endemic to New Zealand. Related to and similar in habits to Australia's Grassbirds, see vimeo.com/113568552. Filmed on a cloudy, windy day on the southern shores of Lake Taupo, central North Island.
