Spotted Shag (Stictocarbo punctatus, Phalacrocoracidae: Cormorants and Shags) South Island, New Zealand

The Spotted Shag is endemic to New Zealand and breeds on offshore islands and in places on onshore cliffs. Both types of location are shown here with birds filmed in the Chistchurch and Picton areas of the South Island.

Filmed in part on a boat trip run by E-Ko tours of Picton.
